I learned most of this the hard...So much good info. I learned most of this the hard way and I still feel weird having my mom go with me to every appointment. But now, I come prepared and instead of shutting down when invalidated and told my condition can't possibly be causing my pain and illness, I fight. And I figured out recently that I have to assemble my own avengers and I ask them to talk to each other. I also have a nurse practitioner who simply dies medication management for me, because many doctors don't take the time to check what you are already taking and I've had some serious complications from that alone.
